What should I expect from treatment?

When you come to Psychiatry and Counseling Associates (PCA), you will receive an assessment for services. The purpose of this assessment is to determine the right services and programs to meet your needs. With the information you provide, you and our staff will determine how best to proceed with your treatment plan. We encourage the inclusion of family/significant others in treatment planning.

We want you to participate in determining your mental health problems and your treatment plan for those problems. If you have any questions about your diagnosis or treatment, please discuss them with your provider.

What do I need to do if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with a provider, please call us at 309-827-2184 as soon as possible.

What kind of treatment does Psychiatry and Counseling Associates offer?

Our trained staff provides medication management and counseling for most major mental and behavioral health problems for individuals. Common problems that are treated may include (but are not exclusive) depression, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, anger issues, and adjustment disorders.

What aged children/adolescents do you see?

We see adolescents and teens aged 12 and up for psychiatric services.

How much will it cost?

We accept Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Health Alliance, or you may pay out of pocket. 

Where is Psychiatry and Counseling Associates located?

We are conveniently located at 415 N. Center St. in Downtown Bloomington. There is limited on-street parking and free four-hour parking on the lower level of the parking garage located at the Southwest corner of Market and Center streets.
